Uno

Image
Emerging from the lap of sunrise, Uno breathes the fragrance of Mother Earth, Gazing at the dewdrops on leaves, Sparkling pearls on the bed of grass, He slides his feet feeling the smooth softness, Healing  are the bruises, Incurred while walking down the rocky pathway of Uranus. A few steps ahead; the gleaming red rose is ecstatic, The white pigeon arrives holding a mistletoe, Rabbits arrive bells in hand, Cinderella with her tresses wild, Waving the magic wand bejeweled with stars, Relive that auspicious moment,   When little Jesus came alive, Emancipating humanity with warmth of love. Uno is mesmerized  in wonder, Sudden shower of snow, Interspersed with trees laden with bells, balls and stars, His elephant ears listen to the strums of Jingle Bells, His bewilderment knew no bounds, When sledge of Santa whisked him afar into villages, Celebrating booties of joy, Walking down the aisle, he is astonished, A man on a cross bearing pain with a s

I have a dream

Image
Painting by Sejuti Biswas Rain is in the air, Drenched in its warmth, I frolic my feet, Into water filled potholes, Spraying droplets, My hair drips, A strum of guitar, Waves of 'On top of the world', Inundated in, 'I have a dream', I groove to let me feel, The arms surrounding, Securing me in their fold, Oblivious to skepticism, Alienating the ridicule, Surmounting the obstacles, A knight in shining armour, Swirling me in twists and turns, An aura of rainbow glowing on lips, Waiting for the angels, To place the train of veil, Fastened with a tiara of white rose, A man and woman are born, Ready to surrender, An oath to transcend their love, In an unending territory, Into an eternity.

MARIGOLD

Image
Chili winter morning, Cascade of sun rays Illuminating every pathway, Dewdrops on the grass Evolving freshness all around. Globed Marigold on the balcony, Looking at the curtain drawn windows, Wondering about the butterfly, Glowing cheeks resting against pink lips, Mesmerizing  blue eyes, Drowned in their depth,   Marigold rejoices. Sudden swish of the curtain, Butterfly's blank stare, In a tear stained face, Filled with remorse, Beaten and crestfallen, Wings are broken. Gentle breeze,   Marigold undulates, An attempt to gather, Teardrops on her petals, Vaporized  in the glare of sunshine,   Marigold begins to mend, Each fragment dyed with her yellow, Like a skilled craftsman, Healing ego replete with trust and faith. .

BLEND

Photo Credit: Sudip Bhattacharya The shadow whispers, ' I am a myth, Perhaps a mystery, Perhaps a magic, Perhaps a blind's dream, Perhaps a painter's charcoal, Perhaps a lens man tale, Perhaps hiding in vein, Perhaps shy; inwardly shaken'. A laughter boomed, 'Perhaps you are born, Perhaps you are dawn, Perhaps you are faith, Perhaps you are strength. Perhaps you are winner, Perhaps you are healer, Perhaps you are me, Perhaps I am you'.
