GULAL ( COLOR )

Gulal in the streets of the temple town Banaras (India). Celebration of Holi; the shower of colors
Gulal is in the sky,
Changing the spectrum,
Rainbows of different hues,
Manifest to usher the song of the spring,
Tapping of foot steps never stops,
With arms raised; the volume of
'Holi hai', never subside.

Gulal, Gulal. Gulal
Gulal on her cheeks,
Gulal on his forehead,
Eyes meet; speaking volumes,
Balloons filled with colors,
Fly in the by lanes of Banaras,
Water color oozes out from the pistons,
Soaking all in goodness,
The earthy fragrance smudged with gulal,
so strong; integrating all devoid of separatism.

Gulal in Banaras by the Ganges,
Divinity percolates into every by lane,
Crowd is enamoured,
Chanting; 'Radhe Radhe, Krishna Krishna'
Even the Gods descend,
Rejoice with the mortal world,
Drowned are the sins,
Rolling are the waves,
In tandem with the wind,
Enriching souls with tranquil peace.
